Post-Doctoral Fellow Physics Education Research
The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities has an opening for a post-doctoral fellow in physics education research. The position is to help implement the School’s ongoing project to integrate computation into its physics major curriculum. The primary focus of the position is to acquire and analyze qualitative and quantitative data that provide formative assessment of the project’s efficacy and impact. Among other duties, the fellow is expected to conduct in-person interviews with faculty and students, administer student surveys, and analyze and publish these data.
Screening of applications will begin on Aug. 15, and candidates will be interviewed on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. The opening is available for a start as soon as mutually convenient.
A PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, or a field related to the research activities is required. The position is for a minimum of one year and extensions are contingent on availability of funds.
