North Central College invites applications for a one-year leave replacement position at the visiting assistant professor level beginning September 2010. A Ph.D. is required; teaching experience is desirable. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Teaching assignments will include introductory physics courses for science majors, a general education physics course, and upper level courses in classical dynamics and quantum mechanics. In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to mentor physics majors in our advanced laboratory tutorial.
