Job Summary
Drexel’s Physics Education Research Network [D-PERN] is hiring a post-doctoral scholar to work on an NSF funded project which aims to extend the characterization of active learning environments in physics through social network analysis and classroom observations using COPUS.
Essential Functions
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate students
- Present at national/international conferences and publication of scientific results in peer-reviewed journals as lead author
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Keep, manage, and organize large amounts of data
- Perform and have knowledge of common network analysis techniques
Required Qualifications
- PhD or Doctorate in Physics, physical science, science education, learning sciences, or related field or foreign equivalent, by time of appointment is expected
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in R programming
- Experience working with, managing, and organizing large datasets
