Tenure track at Misericordia University
Misericordia University invites qualified candidates to apply for a (10 month) tenure-track faculty position in Physics to begin August 2008. The two person department primarily teaches introductory physics courses to students in a variety of majors. Misericordia University is part of a local consortium of colleges and universities which will be offering upper level physics courses to students in the Wilkes-Barre area. A Doctorate in Physics, Physics Education, or related field is required. Candidates at ABD status with evidence of expected completion by 8/15/08 will be considered. Misericordia University, an 83-year-old institution founded by the Sisters of Mercy of Dallas, offering baccalaureate and master’s degrees is located adjacent to the Pocono Mountains region of Northeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 2 hours from New York City, and Philadelphia.
