East Stroudsburg University invites applications for a full-time, temporary position to teach courses in algebra and calculus-based introductory physics and also to direct introductory physics laboratories in the spring beginning January 2010 (12 hours teaching load per semester). The Department of Physics at East Stroudsburg University offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics and also serves as the host department for several 3:2 pre-engineering programs. Required Qualifications:
A strong scientific background is required. A master's degree in physics or closely related area is required. Candidate should demonstrate the potential for high quality teaching and assessment. Final selection will be based on excellence in scholastic achievement and a review of the candidate's curriculum vitae, and may include an interview involving a teaching demonstration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Physics or other appropriate terminal degree. ABD candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidate should demonstrate the potential for high quality teaching and assessment.
