Instructor at University of Victoria

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Victoria invites dynamic individuals with a passion for teaching physics to undergraduate students to apply for a Senior Instructor position. This is a two-year term position. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in physics and have significant teaching experience at the university or college level. The Senior Instructor is expected to teach undergraduate physics courses at both introductory and advanced levels. The ability to teach astronomy courses as well is valued. The teaching load over a full year is eight one-term courses.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae and copies of graduate transcripts, as well as a teaching dossier that includes a statement of teaching philosophy and goals, a summary of courses taught, and documentation of teaching effectiveness.
