Postdoctoral Scholar
The
STEM Collaborative for Research in Education (STEM CoRE) at East
Carolina University (ECU) is seeking a candidate for a Postdoctoral
Scholar position to begin in the fall semester of 2017. Primary
responsibilities include data collection, management, analysis and
dissemination for an NSF funded project. The project's goal is to
transform foundational undergraduate laboratory courses through an
inclusive curricula across the three disciplines, using a common
laboratory structure, language and emphasis for instruction. Multiple
types of published, validated interdisciplinary assessments will be
used, allowing triangulation of data within and between disciplines.
This position is guaranteed funding for three-years.
Candidates
should have a PhD in a physical or life science field with an emphasis
on science education or an education research field, such as evaluation
and measurement, or curriculum & instruction. The successful
candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and
communication skills as well as a strong personal commitment to
undergraduate STEM education. Preference will be given to candidates
with qualitative and quantitative education research experience as well
as a broad knowledge of social statistical methods.
