Job Description:


The Department of Physics at Wittenberg University seeks candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Practice starting in August, 2018. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching (typically 3 courses and 2 lab sections per semester), advising, and curriculum development. Teaching responsibilities will be in undergraduate courses supporting the physics major and other science majors including the pre-health and pre-engineering programs, as well as in general education courses. We are open to candidates in all areas of physics, but especially encourage applications from candidates with a background in applied physics..

Requirements:


Candidates should have a PhD in physics or a closely related field, or a master's degree in physics or a closely related field plus at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to and aptitude for exemplary undergraduate teaching. Preference will be given to applicants who are willing and able to mentor students in senior projects.
