	This tenure-track position requires a Ph.D. in physics or astronomy, or a Ph.D. in science education with significant graduate coursework in physics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach science methods courses, supervise student teachers, and teach physics and/or astronomy courses for science and non-science majors. Strength in teaching and professional activity, involvement of undergraduates in research, and service to the profession and university are also expected. A history of involvement in K-12 science education is desirable. Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in physics or astronomy, or a Ph.D. in science education with significant graduate coursework in physics. Ability to teach science methods courses, supervise student teachers, and teach physics and/or astronomy courses for science and non-science majors. Demonstrated strength in teaching and professional activity. Plan for an active research program involving undergraduates. Evidence of service to the discipline. Preferred Qualifications: A history of involvement in K-12 science education.
