Open Rank Teaching Assistant Professor, University of Minnesota

The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota is searching for a new teaching faculty professor in charge of the advanced physics labs. The contract position is open rank, starting at the assistant professor level or higher, depending on the experience of the candidate. The main teaching responsibilities of the position are the two Method of Experimental Physics (MXP) courses where our majors learn essential experimental skills.

This position could be a good fit for a recent PhD graduate, a postdoc, or staff scientist who enjoys teaching while also working closely with students on experimental projects.

The candidate must have a PhD in physics or a related field with at least three years of experience in an experimental physics laboratory. Experience can include graduate work. More information about the position is posted under the application link https://apply.interfolio.com/109106 and the link to the Physics Today ad: https://jobs.physicstoday.org/jobs/17286417/physics-teaching-faculty-professor-university-of-minnesota-twin-cities. The deadline is September 30, 2022 for full consideration, although applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
