The Department of Physics at Oregon State University (OSU) in Corvallis, Oregon, invites applications for a full-time (9- month) Instructor rank faculty position in physics. The successful candidate will join a thriving, cohesive, award-winning physics department that deeply values undergraduate and graduate education and is committed to evidence-based instructional practices. The successful candidate will primarily teach lower division physics courses, supervise lower division laboratories, develop curricula, maintain professional currency, and perform service.
The Department of Physics at Oregon State University has research groups in the areas of astrophysics, biophysics, condensed matter physics, high energy physics, optical physics, physics education, and quantum cosmology. OSU conducts discipline-based education research across the College of Science, the College of Engineering, the College of Education, and the STEM Research Center. Additionally, OSU fosters a vibrant community involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
