Centre College invites applications for a tenure-track position in physics at the assistant professor level beginning August 2010. A Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and will develop a research program that will involve undergraduates. Collaborative research with students is both encouraged and supported; the current members of the physics program conduct research in the areas of fiber lasers, astrophysical masers, and condensed matter physics.
