The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) invites applications for the newly-created position of ASA Education Coordinator. A dynamic individual is sought who will lead in the management of programs in education in acoustics at all levels, with an emphasis on student activities. Examples include ASA's new program in K-12 educational outreach and the promotion of educational opportunities in acoustics for students in colleges and universities.
Applicants should possess excellent communication, E-awareness, and web skills and have a proven record in the understanding and the organization of educational programs. It would be helpful if applicants also have some knowledge of acoustics or related sciences as well as actual experience in the field of education.
The Coordinator will work with ASA members, staff, students, and other professionals to create, strengthen, and maintain an effective program in education in acoustics. The Education Coordinator is expected to attend ASA meetings twice per year.
This is a half time honoraria position with annual compensation based on experience. No benefits will be provided other than travel support. No office space is provided for this position.
