TT at College of St. Benedict / St. John's University


The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure-track position to begin August, 2013. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all levels of a rigorous undergraduate curriculum and establish a research program involving undergraduates; experimentalist preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include courses and labs in Physics and courses in the Common Curriculum. A Ph.D. in Physics is required. St. John's University, a liberal arts college for men, and the College of St. Benedict, a liberal arts college for women, are located four miles apart in Central Minnesota just outside St. Cloud and 70 miles from Minneapolis. Both are Catholic colleges in the Benedictine tradition, which emphasize quality teaching and commitment to intercultural learning.
