TT at Saint Martin's University

Saint Martin’s University, a small, private Catholic Benedictine University with approximately 1200 students, located in Lacey, Washington near the state capital of Olympia, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Physics, starting Fall 2009. We expect to fill the position at the assistant professor level, but are willing to consider applications from outstanding candidates at higher ranks.

The physics department currently supports biology, chemistry, engineering and general education programs. A commitment to teaching excellence is required and a PhD is preferred. We will gladly consider applications from any qualified candidate who is seriously interested in undergraduate education.

A complete application package should include curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, unofficial transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and other supporting materials of the candidate’s choice. At least one letter of recommendation should address the candidate’s effectiveness in teaching. The position closes March 6, 2009.
