Instructor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville

The Department of Physics [www.siue.edu/PHYSICS] at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for a faculty position at the instructor level beginning Fall 2009. This will be a one-year term appointment with the possibility of a one-year renewal for Fall 2010. The successful candidate will primarily teach Physics courses at the freshman/sophomore undergraduate level.

We seek only candidates who are committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching with at least two years of teaching experience.

A Master's degree in Physics or closely related field is required prior to commencing employment, Ph.D. preferred.

Each candidate should send an application packet including a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, a sample of student evaluations (optional), unofficial transcripts (undergraduate and graduate), and arrange to have at least three letters of recommendation sent to:
