VAP at Western State College of Colorado

Western State College of Colorado invites applications for a full-time, temporary, non-tenure track position in physics. Teaching responsibilities include courses in introductory solar system astronomy, introductory physics, and algebra-base physics. Additional responsibilities include participation in departmental assessment, lab preparations, and other duties as assigned. Possibilities exist to supervise undergraduate research.

The program in physics offers a minor curriculum and supporting courses for the general education program of the college as well as biology, chemistry, and geology degree programs. Please visit our website (http://www.western.edu/physics) for more information.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required, Ph.D. preferred. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and preference will be given to candidates demonstrating excellence in college-level teaching.
