The University Centre for Teaching and Learning (UCTL) provides evidence-based academic development support, guidance and direction to University of Canterbury staff to enhance high standards of teaching and facilitate student learning.
For this position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer we are seeking someone with:
* PhD or equivalent in a relevant area; or a PhD in another area plus a postgraduate qualification in teaching at the tertiary level; or a PhD in another area plus extensive experience working with a variety of academic staff in teaching and learning activities and projects.
* Excellent record as a university teacher in higher education.
* A record of research and publication appropriate with the seniority of the post, preferably with some publications related to university-level teaching and learning practice, research and/or professional development.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work with other staff in the Academic Development Group (ADG) and the University Centre for Teaching and Learning (UCTL) in initiating, planning, delivering and evaluating academic staff development and in carrying out research relevant to tertiary teaching and learning.
