New College of Florida invites applications for a Visiting Instructor or a Visiting Assistant Professor in Physics for the academic year beginning August 2009. The position is contingent on funding. New College is a nationally recognized, highly selective, undergraduate public honors college with an 11:1 student:faculty ratio.
A PhD in Physics or ABD is required. Candidates may have research interests in any field of Physics, and are expected to have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The teaching load is two classes per semester, plus supervision of tutorials, independent study projects, and senior theses.
