The teaching assignment will include Calculus-based Physics, General Physics (Trig/Algebra based), Conceptual Physics, Physical Science (conceptual course including Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, and Geology), and introductory Astronomy. The teaching assignment may include day, evening, and weekend classes, on or off the main campus.
The instructor will be responsible for development of new laboratories and demonstrations as well as the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; maintaining thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her teaching field; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with curriculum and articulation studies; serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance and student co-curricular activities; assuming other duties and responsibilities as outlined in the college faculty handbook.
