The Department of Physics at Smith College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Physics at the Assistant Professor level, starting Fall 2013. The candidate should have a Ph.D., be able to offer a strong research program in experimental physics readily accessible to undergraduates, and be well versed in research-based physics pedagogy. Significant equipment start-up funds, ongoing access to a departmentally administered equipment endowment, and newly renovated lab space adjacent to a well-equipped and staffed design/fab machine shop are all available.
