Position Summary:
Responsibilities of this 12-month position include:
-- supervision of all 'Finish In Four' laboratory sections.
-- teaching Advanced Lab (PHY407/PHY551 and PHY408/PHY552)
-- teaching Modern Physics Lab (PHY307A and PHY307B) -- teaching and coordinating labs for Descriptive Astronomy, PHY121/PHY122
-- updating lecture demonstrations
-- overseeing lab instruction in the Department, supervising TAs and Lab instructional personnel, conducting assessment of lab instruction and identifying problem areas.
-- supervising lab courses during the summer sessions and special summer programs.
Candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Physics (or related area).
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Physics (or related area).
Preferred Qualifications:
University teaching experience (including as a graduate student) and evidence of experimental expertise are preferred.
