The College of Science, Health and Engineering at Eastern
Washington University invites applications for a tenure track faculty
position in the Department of Physics to begin September 2014.
Primary responsibilities will include teaching both lower division and
upper division physics courses. The successful candidate will also be
expected to develop a program which provides opportunities for
undergraduate research, and to seek external funding.
Additionally, the candidate selected for this position will be expected
to offer interest and/or experience in online learning and pursuit of
grants, to expand the university's endeavors in those areas.

Minimum Qualifications:
o PhD Physics or closely related field
o Demonstrated high degree of interest and/or ability teaching undergraduate physics
o Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience teaching college level physics classes
o Research experience in experimental physics
