The UW-L Department of Physics has expanded in the direction of teacher education. We have recently introduced a physics education major with teacher certification, and we are excited to recruit a colleague to assist in these efforts.
Duties/Responsibilities: (1) teach a variety of introductory physics courses for science and education students; (2) contribute to the further development of the university's science education programs; (3) supervise pre-service teachers; and (4) become actively engaged with K-12 schools.
Required Qualifications: (1) an Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Science Education or related field, with a strong academic background in physical science; (2) a minimum of 3 years experience teaching science at the middle school and secondary level in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications: a B.S. in physics or related field.
