Faculty - Physics

Salary: $41,504 - 43,504 depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities:
Teach
all levels of physics. Maintain
full-time faculty load. Teach using traditional and alternative methods
of instruction (on-line, self-directed, learning communities, etc.).
Coordinate with other faculty in curriculum planning, development,
deliver y and review. Recruit, train and mentor adjunct faculty. Hold
office hours. Recruit, advise and retain students. Assume department
duties as needed. Participate in department, division and college-wide
activities and committees. Participate in assessment and use data to
improve student learning. Fulfill the teaching, professional
development and service obligations of full-time faculty.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physics or related field
with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Physics from a fully
accredited institution. Two years of post-secondary experience teaching
physics or related fields. Experience working with diverse
populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced
studies beyond a Master's degree in a related field. Experience
teaching non-science majors. Community college teaching experience.
Demonstrates knowledge of and interest in a variety of teaching
strategies, including methods from current physics education research.
