One-year lecturer appointment teaching introductory physics or physical science and laboratories at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville
Qualifications: An M.S. in physics or a related field is required. Teaching experience is desired. The successful candidate must be committed to undergraduate education and will have demonstrated commitment to or experience with diverse populations. Additional Info: University of Wisconsin-Platteville, founded in 1866, is a comprehensive University of approximately 5800 undergraduates located in the hill and stream region of Southwestern Wisconsin. The College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science has approximately 2000 students in Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering Physics, and Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical, and Software Engineering. The university also offers degrees in biology and agriculture as well as a MEMS/Nanotechnology minor. The Engineering Physics program is ABET accredited and offers an engineering major as well as a physics minor with either an education or science emphasis. There are currently about 50 EP majors in our program. This position has been created by a recent retirement.
