The Physics Department at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to start in the Fall of 2010. We are seeking a theorist or an experimentalist whose research will complement existing research done by the faculty. Current areas of research are mesoscopic physics, intermediate energy nuclear theory, polymer physics, liquid crystals, laser physics and quantum optics. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics with post-doctoral experience. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to undergraduate research and teaching in our Physics and Engineering Physics programs. Ability to teach engineering physics courses will be considered a plus. Our location in New York City provides many opportunities for collaborative research.
