The Department of Physics at Elon University seeks applicants for two
(2) one-year, limited-term/full-time positions for the 2012-2013
academic year. The primary responsibility of the first position will
be teaching 100-level science courses for non-majors, such as
Introduction to Astronomy, Galactic Astronomy, and Conceptual Physics.
The primary responsibility for the second position will be teaching
multiple sections of algebra-based General Physics I in the fall and
General Physics II in the spring. Strong preference will be given to
candidates capable of mentoring undergraduate research projects in
astronomy, physics, or engineering. An M.S. or Ph.D. in Physics,
Astronomy, or a related field is required for consideration.
