The Academy is seeking a qualified physics / science teacher or individual looking for a career change into the field of high school teaching. The candidate will become a full partner with the faculty and participate in all activities of the high school including curriculum development and advising and mentoring students. In addition to assisting in teaching physics, the visiting scholar will also participate in the STEM A/B courses and assume duties associated with Academy programs including robotics, science fair and elective programs.
Work and/or teaching experience in physics and/or other related fields is preferred. Bachelors degree required. Experience working with high school students and a genuine desire to meet the licensure requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/DESE expected.
