(non-TT) Clinical Assistant Professor - Physics at Oklahoma State-Stillwater


The Department of Physics seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor position who will serve as our Director of Entry-Level Physics Instruction. This position is a long-term, non-tenure-track faculty academic year appointment with faculty rank and promotion based on experience and productivity. The position, which will begin in Fall 2012, requires a Ph.D. in physics with a specialization in Physics Education strongly preferred. The Director will be responsible for teaching algebra and calculus-based introductory physics courses and coordinating the delivery of several large enrollment physics courses offered every semester. Other responsibilities will include the training of graduate teaching assistants in pedagogical methods used in recitation instruction of large physics courses, and oversight of Physics Learning Center facilities.
