Assistant Professor of Practice
The College of Science Teacher Preparation Program
University of Arizona

The College of Science Teacher Preparation Program (CoS TPP) at the University of Arizona seeks an experienced science educator to join the program as an Asst. Professor of Practice. The applicant will join a vibrant program that prepares science and science education majors to be successful middle and high school science teachers. The program currently includes five faculty members and another Asst. Professor of Practice; we are seeking an additional instructor to accommodate program growth.

This is a fulltime, benefits-eligible position, with salary depending on experience. The Assistant Professor of Practice will
  • teach courses in the program, including online and hybrid courses,
  • assist in recruiting secondary science teachers to host program students in their classrooms,
  • assist in placing program students in area science classrooms for field experiences associated with our courses,
  • assist in supervising student teachers,
  • assist with managing the program, and assist the Program Director in marketing the program and recruiting students.
Asst. Professors of Practice attend all program faculty meetings and participate in program planning, assessment, and improvement.
