Candidates must have a strong commitment to and/or evidence of excellence and accomplishment in both teaching and research, must have an earned doctorate, and 3 years of successful elementary or middle school teaching experience (or equivalent). Tenure track faculty on the Marion campus hold appointments and are promoted and tenured in the School of Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University. Ohio State Marion, one of the five campuses of The Ohio State University, is located 45 miles north of Columbus and currently enrolls 1500 students.
We seek candidates with expertise in Science methods for Early Childhood (PreK-3) and Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9). Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate education courses; engaging in scholarly research and publication (position includes seed grant); and providing service to campus, university, and discipline.
