Summary
The Physics Department is seeking a Lecturer to join their team! 
This is a one-year faculty replacement in the Department of Physics for the 2019-2020 academic year. Duties include teaching 15 semester credit hours in both the Fall and Spring terms. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach a variety of physics courses including lab courses, general education, service and major courses. The position is non-renewable.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Masters degree in physics is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Expert knowledge in physics and competence in physics pedagogy.
  • Ability to communicate the ideas of physics in a compelling and instructive manner.
  • Ability to work well with students of varying abilities.
  • Competence in the use of academic course management systems and other office technologies.
  • Competence in the use of laboratory equipment used in undergraduate physics laboratories.
  • Ability to write and design undergraduate physics labs.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a PhD in physics or closely related field preferred. Demonstrable experience teaching undergraduate physics.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, sitting, and walking, as well as frequent fine hand manipulation associated with using a computer. Continuous need to see, hear, and speak.
