Summary:  The Physics Department at Grand Valley State University invites applications for Visiting Faculty positions to begin August 2019. 
Required Qualifications and Education: Candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Physics or Astronomy and must have a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching introductory physics courses and/or labs is preferred. Candidates who value diversity of people, ideas, and experiences are desirable.
Responsibilities – Essential Functions:  Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a full load of courses (12 contact hours/week) serving as instructor of record for introductory physics courses including lectures, discussion sections, and labs. 
Salary: Commensurate with experience and competitive with regional peer institutions. The position is a nine-month appointment and will be for one (1) year with the possibility of renewal for up to two (2) more years.
