GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
Instruct courses in physics. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: student advising, maintaining office hours, participating in college committees, promoting and supporting extra-curricular activities, participating in professional development, and working across departments to develop student communication, computation, and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be prepared to teach in non-traditional venues such as Internet, two-way interactive video and Internet/traditional classroom combinations. May include evening or weekend classes, as well as off-campus teaching. This position reports to the Director of HPE/Math/Science.
Note: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in physics.
Experience: 3 years teaching experience at secondary and/or post-secondary level. Developing and teaching internet classes.
