Secondary Science Education tenure-stream assistant professor position to begin September 2009.
Responsibilities: Teaching secondary science methods and field practicum courses, in addition to integrated science courses for elementary education, and other education courses as needed; coordinating four programs in secondary science education for PA teaching certification; supervising Secondary Science Education student teachers; advising all Secondary Science Education students; and engaging in professional development and university service activities.
Requirements: Doctorate in Science Education, or related field with a specialty in science education, by August 2009; a strong background in an area of science; knowledge of recent trends in science education; and a minimum of three years secondary level teaching experience. College/university teaching and/or supervision experience preferred.
