Title: Instructor or Assistant Professor of Biology and Physics
Effective Date: January 7, 2010 or August 16, 2010
Qualifications: Requires a minimum of an earned Master's degree in Biology, Physics or closely related field. Doctorate degree preferred. College teaching experience at the freshman and sophomore levels is also preferred. A successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to students. Candidates selected for interview should be prepared to demonstrate their teaching skills during the interview process.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will instruct courses in general biology, microbiology and/or general physics. Teaching assignments are on a 9-month contract, for a 1.0 FTE load of 15 credit hours per semester, in addition to duties associated with advising students, professional development, curricular enhancement, institutional governance and community service. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach evenings and weekends as needed. Research is encouraged but not required.
