Wilkes University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in the Department of Biology and Division of Engineering and Physics.
We seek a candidate with expertise in biophysics, biomechanics, or bioengineering, with the ability to teach and conduct research at the interface of biology and physics in an undergraduate setting. The appointment requires a Ph.D. in a relevant field, and postdoctoral experience is preferred.
The successful candidate will develop a strong research program involving undergraduates and will participate in a project to revise the curricula in physics and biology. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory physics and upper-level undergraduate courses in an area of expertise. A competitive startup package, supported with funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, is available.
