TT at Drew Univ.

Drew University, a highly selective liberal arts college located 30 miles outside New York City, seeks applications for a tenure-track position, pending budget approval, beginning September 2010. The candidate should have strong interest in all levels of undergraduate physics teaching in a liberal arts setting, including physics for non-scientists. The four-member department seeks candidates who can establish an independent experimental research program in a small college environment, involving undergraduate research students. By January 15, 2010, please submit a cover letter, statement of teaching philosophy, research plan (with budget) including how students can be involved, curriculum vitae, graduate transcripts, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent by standard mail to: Search Committee, Physics Department, Drew University, Madison, NJ 07940. At least one letter must be able to supply an informed evaluation of the applicant's teaching experience. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.
