Douglas High School just outside of Rapid City, SD has a sudden need for a skilled physics/chemistry teacher. Douglas has perhaps the most attractive demographic in the entire state - it is situated on Ellsworth Air Force Base, and the majority of the students in this district are children of technically skilled air force personnel, so they are often academically talented. Many of the graduates go to top universities nationwide.
Bobbie Traxinger taught physics, chemistry, and physical science at Douglas and she died suddenly last week. The school obviously needs someone to cover her classes for this year, and they hope to find someone who can stay with the position in the future. Bobbie used Modeling in all her classes at Douglas so the administration and science department recognize the value of inquiry oriented / modeling instruction.
