Haverford College invites applications for a leave replacement faculty position, pending budgetary approval, in physics for 2011-12. Continuation for a second year is possible based on need and performance. Candidates should be able to teach courses across the undergraduate physics curriculum, including laboratories. A Ph.D. in any area of physics, teaching experience including laboratories, and research publications, are expected. Haverford is a highly selective college with motivated students and a commitment to quality teaching and scholarship. Our location in the western suburbs of Philadelphia allows for interactions with colleagues at nearby institutions including University of Pennsylvania.
