Job/Position Title: Chair and Professor
Department: Physics
Primary Purpose: Manage internal department tasks, scheduling, mentoring junior faculty, student matters, etc.
Guide departmental interactions with College and University.
Support departmental research/graduate education.
Lead student recruiting efforts.
Develop academic collaborations with other universities.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Physics; service at least at an associate professor level or equivalent at a national laboratory or in industry.
Preferred Qualifications: Management experience in an academic or research institution.
