VAP at Univ. of San Diego

The Physics Department at the University of San Diego is seeking an enthusiastic teacher with a Ph.D. in physics and a strong commitment to the undergraduate liberal arts environment. The ability to work in the United States is required. The successful candidate will be expected to teach general physics and possibly astronomy, full time, for one academic year, beginning in the fall of 2011. The Physics Department is housed in the Shiley Center for Science and Technology, a state of the art teaching and research facility completed in 2003, and is designed for interdisciplinary efforts. Our Department has a strong commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff.
