Responsible for teaching a full range of physics classes including calculus-based physics. Teach introductory engineering classes, including Statics and Electrical engineering. Matlab experience preferred. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, departmental and College activities including committee work.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Physics or a related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Physics or Engineering required. Higher education/community college teaching experience preferred. May include day, evening and/or weekend classes. A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process. 177 day, 9-month contract. Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval. Hiring process includes a background check. Official transcripts required at the time of hire. NOTE: College degrees obtained outside the U.S. accepted only when interpreted by transcript service members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
