Springfield College invites applications for a one-year, nine-month
appointment for an Instructor of Physics in the Department of
Math/Physics/Computer Science. Responsibilities include: teaching a
pre-calculus-based full-year General Physics lecture and General Physics
laboratory for each semester, consisting of two three-hour lectures and
three two-hour laboratory sections. The Instructor will collaborate
with the Physics Laboratory Instructor, who will assist in laboratory
equipment and experiment set-ups.
Required qualifications include a Master's Degree in Physics or
related discipline; Ph.D. in Physics preferred. The ideal candidate will
have college level teaching experience, excellent communication skills
and demonstrated creativity and flexibility in teaching non-physics
major students.
