The Science, Engineering and Architecture department is seeking
applications from diverse individuals with a strong commitment to
excellence in teaching, as well as student learning and success to teach
Physics, Physical Science and Engineering courses within our
department. Our instructors prepare lectures and demonstrations, set up
and take down physics laboratory equipment, help maintain the
laboratory equipment, keep inventory and monitor compliance with college
environmental policies.
This position requires a wide range
of professional responsibilities and activities, including participation
in curriculum and course development, departmental planning,
attendance at department and college meetings, participation on
department and Governance committees, student advising and other duties
as
assigned.
This instructor will be expected to participate in College and Departmental assessment initiatives.
Teaching
assignments may be on the Middletown or Newburgh campus or both
Requirements: Master's Degree in Physics or
Engineering.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Some full-time professional
engineering experience or college teaching experience. A Ph.D. or a PE license a plus.
