Postdoc at University of Hong Kong

Post-doctoral Fellow for Developing an Ecological Model of Organizational Learning and Sustainable Change for IT-supported Curriculum and Assessment Innovation in the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong (Ref.: 20100068)
Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) in the Faculty of Education from as soon as possible for a period of three years.

Applicants should be Ph.D. degree holders with a strong background in the area of organizational learning, change and leadership. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with complexity theory and its application to the study of
organizations and/or innovation. Experience of working in schools in teaching and/or leadership positions or in education/professional development of teachers/principals will be a distinct advantage, but not mandatory.

The appointee will be expected to work with the Principal Investigators who have expertise in the areas of ICT-supported pedagogical innovation and education management and leadership respectively to design and conduct studies of leadership and
change that will capture the evolving interactions and changes among the different actors within the project schools in two innovation projects each involving a network of schools and teachers collaborating in curriculum and pedagogical innovation.
Each of these two projects is underpinned by a strong theory of learning and supported by a common web-based learning support platform. The appointee will work with members of these two project teams to develop instruments for the study, contribute
to the collection and analysis of data as well as the writing up of research publications on the study.
