Colorado Northwestern Community College, a rural institution with campuses in Rangely and Craig, Colorado, anticipates several fulltime faculty openings in the Arts and Sciences Division for the fall 2011 semester. Successful candidates will have a Master's degree or higher in an academic discipline, with an ability-or a willingness to acquire additional credentials-to teach in a secondary discipline. CNCC values high energy, creativity, and a strong desire to engage students through a place-based emphasis that considers the advantages of our natural environment and small town living. The launch of a brand new, state of the art facility in Craig creates a special opportunity for the college, and we are seeking faculty who can have a dramatic impact on student success, and can enhance a culture of academic excellence.
Specific faculty needs are as follows:
History, Craig Campus (with a willingness to acquire credentials to teach college composition)
Physical Sciences, Craig Campus (Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Geology)
Life Sciences, Craig Campus (Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology)
