Visiting Instructor at Rice University

The Physics and Astronomy Department at Rice University invites applications from recent Ph.D. graduates for a visiting instructorship in physics, commencing July/August 2011. This is a non-tenure-track position, with the possibility of reappointment for two further three-year terms. The instructor will be involved in teaching and in development of innovative teaching methods, with a load equivalent to two courses per semester. There would also be opportunities to pursue independent research or collaborations with on going research programs in the department (see our web page http://physics.rice.edu).
