Opportunities for this position include:
* Contributing to the success of the Center’s faculty programs and services (e.g., teaching
consultations and observations, workshop development and facilitation, Celebrating Teaching
Day, faculty learning communities, etc.)
* Contributing to the success of the Center’s future faculty programs and services (e.g., TA
training, TA Orientation, Tech to Teaching Certificate Program, academic career consultations)
* Collecting, analyzing, and disseminating research data on teaching and learning
* Providing individual consultations and classroom observations to faculty, graduate students, and
postdoctoral scholars seeking to enhance expertise in the classroom
* Teaching a graduate-level CETL course in teaching and learning or academic communication
* Exploring research-based strategies for improving teaching and learning, and for faculty and
future faculty development
Qualifications for this position include:
* Doctorate completed
* Two or more semesters of college teaching as a TA or instructor of record
* Familiarity with the literature on evidence-based teachin gandl earning techniques
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of
a team, and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders
Candidates with experience in any of the following are particularly encouraged to apply:
* Experience working in a center for teaching and learning
* Experience with learning technology
* Quantitative and/or qualitative research skills
* Ph.D. in a STEM field
* Two or more semesters of college teaching as an instructor of record
